Default LiFe question

Guys I am switching over to LiFe's and just have a question on the voltage. I have put 2 of them in my TT 30% Yak. I have noticed that after flying a couple of times they read 6.5 or 6.6. Now I have not flown them long to see how much further they will go down but is that normal for them to be that low after a couple of flights?

6.6V is the normal voltage for LiFe batteries. Each cell is 3.3V. You will love them. They hold that voltage longer than anything else you can use.

Thanks Ram, but I guess what I am wondering is since a 6 volt nimh will read 6.4 or more after a recharge does the LiFe just get back to its 6.6 quick and just stay there for a long time?

PS thanks for the powered steel it worked great on my Corsair.

Yes, be carefull because when they hit empty they drop fast, you can't gage capacity from voltage

Is there any tool that can be used at the field to tell the batteries capacity besides recharging.

You need a li-fe charger that has a LCD display and gage your capacity based on usage time vs Miliamp hr recharge

A shovel. I fly and recharge every fourth flight even though I think I can get 7~8 flights out of them.

I was lucky once, a cell died and I noticed the servos where slow so I checked the voltage 3.3v, the radio worked, but the servos where real slooow.[X(]
