Hi Spool:
I can recommend the Pulse series from Hangar 9. They are well built and will be aerobatic but slow down nice for landing. The fuel tank has a hatch so its easy to get to/see. The 40 and the 60 are both easy to see. It flys like a trainer if you want to go slow but you will be pleased if you crank up the power and throws. I have the 60 and a friend in my club had the 40. The only two things I would check on this as any ARF...make sure the preinstalled hinges have enough ca to hold and put extra epoxy or support on the landing gear.Just about all arfs need those two items checked. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Hi John,

Not to be hard on you, but we have to be a little patient, most of us have lives and we come here when we aren't doing something at the moment. So when we Post a question there will be times we have to wait. There have been times I haven't got a answer for 2 days. It's all depending on the traffic we get in here at RCU.

Jim is right, but if you think you might be rusty, I'd go with any top wing trainer, then move up to a mid or bottom wing trainer once you feel that you've mastered the top wing. Hobbico and Hanger 9 make nice trainers- you can buy those at Tower. My favorite other than the Goldberg Eagle II is the LT .40 Sig Kadet.

We all have our own personal favorites and hope we don't confuse you, so it's your call in the end.

Wecome back!

Pete

I was in the same situation as you not too long ago, I went ahead and got me a Sig 4 star 60 low wing really cool airplane, I build the 40 version and the 60 both kit and ARF a few years ago and I knew that airplane will do it for me, it is now on floats too.

If you want to go a little more agressive check out the Great Planes Revolver 40 or 60 both are really good ARF, I have the 60 with a ST 90, this is a really cool ( again ) an all around sport airplane has features like the big gasser top hach, 2 piece wing with a carbon fiber tube, very large Rudder, Ailerons and elevator ( it is not mented for 3D not my flying style anyways ).
