Anybody out there fly a TT 82 inch CUB and know where their balance point is? I 'm ready for first flight and it balances at 3.5 inches back dry or about 31% MAC.
TT instructions call for 4 to 4.5 inches back or 35 to 40% of MAC.
What to do ? Help!

Try to move the engine. If it is not possible move the battery etc as far back as possible.
I have OS FS70II in mine, had to put some lead to the tail.

Kaboomski,
I'm also using the OS 70 FS. Going to run a 14-4 prop. After you added tail weight was your balance point at 4 inches back from leading edge of wing as called for by Thunder Tiger ? How does it fly ?

I have 14-6 APC prop in mine, has plenty of power and flies most of the time with 1/4 throttle. I added about 50-70g = 2 oz of lead to the tail. Turns best and most scale like if you coordinate the turns with the rudder. Floats on landings. Nice!

Guys, mine is nearly ready to fly with a .61 ASP 4fs hope it's good enough. Have you done anything about the struts. I don't fancy having to screw and unscrew everytime.

The wing struts support the wings quite a bit. I wouldn't fly the plane without them. It takes only a minute to put them in place.
