Default NEW Arf Build

Building my ARF, Just about done. I have to order a prop & adapter before I can epoxy my home made motor mount in place. Thanks to a member here thats showed me how to make the mounting plate. It's made of about 1/4" ply. I have the Fuse built up and the wing. Just have not installed any linkage rods or servos yet. I'll have to do final motor alignment once I get my prop and adapter. I may ask for any times on getting the angle right on the motor. Thanks

I see from the photos that the ARF engine mount has built in right thrust and down thrust. Be very careful when you install your new mount that you get the right and down thrust the same as the original mount. You will not like the way it flies if you don't get that right.

This looks like a typical generic trainer. If so the power 32 may be lighter than the original glow engine. I built an Alpha 40 ATF some months back, and ended up having to add about 8 Oz of weight to the front.
The power 32 works well with 3s or 4s lipos, as does the power 25. If you use a 60 amp speed control, just about any motor from the power 25 to the power 46 can be used.
Check the nosewheel control arm. You may want to extend the brackets out from the firewall to get proper and no bind travel. If you don't like to add weight, and don't mind a bit of effort,
moving the wing back about an inch or so is not too difficult.

I was hopeing by useing (2) 3S 11.1v 2200mah lipos up front, where the fuel tank go's and maybe a seprate rx pack would make up the diffrence in weight. I did buy a 60A OPTO ESC W-out BEC, just to run the servos and rx off a seprate pack, which will in the end be a 2S 3200mah lipo with a voltage regulator.
