Hi Duanen

Thanks, i am aware of this thread, i was wondering if someone has a long term experiance with the reliability of this engine.
I have at the moment a seagull Nemesis 40 with an OS55 , as i am a fan of gas engines and i also have a DLE20cc gasser on a Revolver 70 which i very much like in terms of fuel consumption and power, and of course the lower cost of fuel which is a big issue , comparing with the cost of nitro.
I was wondering if the GT9 would be powerfull enough for the Nemesis 40,for sure it would not be as fast as with the OS55 i asume.
There are some Youtube videos of the GT9 , it would be nice to get some more comments on this engine's preformance !!

I think this engine is too new to have long term experience. The RCG thread shows a number of issues are still being worked out. I for one are very much interested in this engine as my conversion to the gas powered planes. I fly only .40 and .60 glow planes.

Troy Built is now carrying these brands.

That's a good sign, since they have to provide replacements and repairs when problems develop, so they can't trust poor performers.

Test ran mine on the stand last week. Seem to run ok. Needles are touchy but revs well. Mine is going into a kit built Kadet Senior. Figured to spark plug lead would give it an old school igniton look. Of course like an idiot I broke the tiny little $12 spark plug! Now waiting on 2 more plugs to arrive. The stock muffler which looks like a gasser muffler is a little harsh and gasser sounding. OS .46fx style mufflers will fit it and help with the sound.

I'm thinking about getting one of these NGH 9cc engines. Has anybody checked the current draw of the ignition module at max RPM. Sorry bout the duplication. I'm new to this!

We have seen 2 of these at our club over the last 2 years. Both pilots gave up on them. They did not run consistently. Great on the ground, lousy in the air. The consensus was the carb's were not matched up well for this engine.

If you're looking for a gas engine this size, the 10cc Evo does work well.....

Somehow, I always felt that for the smaller size, the 9cc gas engines were too heavy. If fuel consumption is an issue, you could try the 4c engines- they just sip fuel
