Just wanted to say that I own a few arfs from Pheonix Models from vietnam. I have to say I am happy with every single one.
I have the paragon trainer, pheonix comet pattern, and the pheonix extra300s. The arfs are nice quality (pinned hinges nice covering, hardware, the wood is good, glue joints never failed.)
They fly great, are pretty light also. Something to look into if you're shopping for a low cost arf that is nicely built..
check out www.singahobby.com
or http://www.modelengines.com.au/index.html
I'm sure you can get them at local hobby shops in the U.S . we get them in canada.
For those of you wanting a fast aerobatic plane try out the comet or the scanner..

I would just email one of those distributors and ask them for pricing. or just ask around at local hobby shops..
For the price they cost you get a very good arf.. They are by far the most superior in that price class.. i say they are almost up there with great planes.. I have a few of their arfs and my friends have them also.. Not one of them had any type of problem due to glue joints, hardware etc.. The only thing you might have to do as well as most arfs is pass a heat gun over them..

Not sure where the actual company is.. you might find out when you get there..
just to let you know one of the planes by pheonix called the accipitor is used by the president of a local club in my area for the military. He buys like 10-15 at a time with O.S .61 and goes to a military airbase in Toronto Canada and helps train soldiers that fire Anti Aircraft guns. He actually gets funded by the military to buy these planes and all the gear and to fly them while they are getting shot at by LIVE AA cannons!!! It's pretty neat!

Not sure either where the manufacture is but I understand they have a nice five star hotel there called the "Hanoi Hilton". I here they treat you real nice and have wonderful buffets! If you happen to stay there ask for the best hostess around. Her name is Jane Fonda. You can usually find her around the perimeter of Hanoi sitting on anti-aircraft guns posing for pictures. She's a REAL nice lady. I hear she lives part time in the United States but she has been known to go to places like Vietnam just to put down her own country. She's a real FINE person! But just to keep this RC related I would love to send her up to you in Canada RVD so you can use her for a little target practice. Sorry to be so sarcastic but people still don't forget after 30 years!
