Default Have you ever had a plane that everything goes wrong?

I bought a { I won't mention the brand } cheap A.R.F. P-51 Mustang that seemed like a good value. Upon opening the box, I discovered how they sell them so cheap. The hardware was junk, the instructions were a joke, but I soldiered on and built it anyway. I read reviews on the plane and was warned that the included retracts were no good. guess what, they were right. The first taxi test, the control horn on the gear snapped. Good thing it didn't happen on landing. I replaced them with quality Robarts and they worked great until the maiden flight. On the first landing, guess what happened????...Landing gear mounts ripped out of the wing. Ok... a couple of months later I got It all fixed and believe me... they aren't coming out again I took it to the field today, fought with getting the engine running right. Finally I got it lined up on the runway and performed a beautiful Warbird takeoff. She flew beautifully, Gear up.....low high speed pass. All was well until I was setting up to turn on final. The d..m Landing gear wouldn't come down. UUUggghhh. I was just at Warbird over Delaware so I saw plenty of guys belly-land, but I had never done it before. I lined it on the runway, cut the power, and performed a beautiful gear up landing. NO DAMAGE !!!! ............. Some planes just don't want to fly

I've been battling an ESM BF-110 from the beginning. Zero issues with the airframe itself, but the equipment has been nothing but trouble. Servos burning up, retracts just not wanting to cooperate and engines that have been just ok. Finally getting everything sorted, but this one definitely kicked my butt.

I had a .46 size model not too long ago that I was not happy with. Flew "heavy" and head large control surfaces and was a handful. One evening I went out after work and, not thinking, I took off right into the sun and temporarily blinded myself. The resulting pile of balsa didn't upset me as much as such things usually would.

r/coldie,

I think you have it backwords. Some plans fly so well they just can't stand the ground and don't want to come down :-)
