Default GP yak prop question.

i am almost done putting together a GP YAk ARF. the plane has an OS BGX with perry pump and slimline pitts muffler. there are two servos for rudder and one servo for each elevator, the rudder servos are inboard and they are ganged up, with pull pull. all servos are metal geared. the throttle servo is on the engine box. the os bgx can take an 18x8, 18x10, 18x12, 20 x 8 and 20 x 10 prop. the original prop i had on engine was a wooden 20 x 8 prop. during testing period (plane has yet maidened), the wood prop got a dent in it when engibe fired and prop hit chicken stick. i found a brand new MA 18 x 12 prop, and installed it. plane is almost ready to fly, however, i noticed that with this prop, maybe 3 to 4 inches of prop are outside of the cowl area. do you think this prop is too small for this plane and cowl?<br type="_moz" />

Ever seen a GeeBee racer? Barely any prop outside of the cowl. However, if you want to 3D get another 20x8.
