Default Help CG Question

Help..... I am working on the Hangar-9 P51D Mustang 1.5 and the instructions say to measure 6 3/8" from where the fusalage meets the wing. At that area of the plane, the wing goes off at an angle. The wing is triangle (in a way). So, I am NOT SURE where the wing meets the fusalage. I set up the CG machine from the exact point where the wings Leading Edge hits the fusalage (at the tip of the triangler shape from the wing) and it turns out that I need to add a POUND, to the nose.

I have installed the Saito 1.8 and did not modify anything from the instructions.

YIKES... HELP... Could I actually need to add a whole pound?

Default RE: Help CG Question

I just got through looking at the online manual at Horizon hobbys and if you will look in section 9 page 28, Section 2 step 2. The right hand picture is a dowel being mounted into what would be the fuselage portion of your wing assy. you can see in the area too the right of the dowel where the leading edge would meet the fuselage, measure from this location to locate Mfg's recommended CG. I have heard of heavy airplanes before but I believe that 1 pound of weight is extreme...I hope that this will help
