I have both GP Ultimate+YW63 & DP Ultimate+Saito72 both wery nice but GP more heavy and I prefer DP because DP is model of 2002 year, GP it's "last centure" and I prefer ARC version of DP Ultimate.

I also have the DP Ultimate with a Saito 72. It is an awesome plane. It flies smooth and predictable. Take offs and landings are easy and can fairly be slow if you want. This plane will do anything I ask of it. Actually it will do more than I can. I have even gotten it to hover, and this was the first plane I have ever tried that with.

I compared the Global kit to DPM's before my purchase and was not impressed with the Global kit. It is not as good, not even close. In fact the Global plane looks like my old Hobbico Ultimate which was a nice plane 15 years ago, it had lots of plastic, but compared to DPM's it was a joke. If you get the DPM you will not be dissatisfied with it.

DP has some issues occassionally with customer service that have been reported here on RCU, but I have not experienced them myself. My dealings with DPM were fine and the products are great. Everyone agrees DPM's planes are terrific.

Ed:

I have the Global Ultimate Bipe. I have an OS 50SX up front and it flies just great! Loops, rolls, inverts, verticals, just about anything you're capable of doing, the Global will do well. Once trimmed out it flies like it's on rails. Landings are smooth, slow and very predictable.

I'm sure the DP Ultimate is just as good, but I can only speak from experience regarding the Global.

I'm sure you'll be pleased with either one.

As far as building the kit, if you have the time and you enjoy building from scratch, maybe that would be right for you.

For me, I'd rather fly than build. The ARF's today are really getting better all the time.

Best regards..................Pat
