I'm sure this has been on here but I can't find it.... Been looking at these planes and really like the looks, size, and many different choices, along with a good price.... I've heard the usual goods and bads but I did read somewhere that they were all very tail heavy and nneded al ot of weight up front... Any body experience this.... I don't fly gas just larger nitro and I know that makes a difference.... SWould like to try one of these out though.....

There is probably one or more threads on nearly every ESM warbird made in the warbirds forum on this site. A quick search in said forum should yield lots of results.

I have built four ESM planes and rebuilt 1 for a friend. That includes the B-25 (96"), 2 Spitfires, Corsair and FW 190. They all require a fair amount of weight in the nose. Much of that for me is self inflicted. I added a scale retractable tail wheel and hook to the Corsair and I made a "B" version tail turret for the B-25 which added weight to the tail. I would not be concerned with the addition of nose weight to balance these planes. My planes all came out relatively heavy and I have enjoyed flying them. I have also won 3 best WWII and 2 best of show awards with these planes not just because they look good but because they fly scale. The ESM planes are a balance of stand off scale and value for the dollar. You can build them right out of the box and go fly or spend many hours bashing them into the specific plane you have come to admire. I don't think you will be disappointed with ESM planes. Since you fly glow I will attach a video of my first Spitfire with a OS 120 AX and JTech muffler and Century Jet retracts. Hope this helps.

I fly a Fw190 150 size,DLE 30 with a sub C batt on the engine stand offs,no extra weight needed to balance it,flys nice.
