I just had given to me a GWS 380ep
There is a stripped gear in the gear box....and the main wing servo' arm needs replacing.
Airframe looks fine. The "skin" isn't perfect, but shouldn't effect how it flies.

If the gear and arm are replaced and a battery thrown it, it should fly.

oh, the esc is a gws 600a. If I read the specs right, it is 3s lipo ready.

Ive never had or flown a balsa plane...ive stuck to epo planes.

It has a jr400 sport tx and rx.

some of the tech is old...and I have wondered if I could install a brushless motor into it (and delete the gearbox maybe)

sooo, whats its value as is....and would it be worth putting in a new motor?

I would guess cash value is not very much. The fun value, if you fix it, could be a lot.

The way it sits being unflyable because of the stripped gear and servo parts I wouldn't pay mor than $50.00 for it.

You can of course switch it to brushless for around $40.00 and fly it!
