I've been looking for a nice plane to get my smooth-running Saito 90 twin (puts out .72 - .80 single type power) back in the air. This could be it. With a little strengthening here, and there and moving one or both of the servos to the tail. Maybe even cut in some flaps.

I'm surprised also by the lack of threads of this plane and some other new ones.....maybe we are getting lazy?

Maybe they aren't selling well.

That Tom could very well be the situation, but you would think someone is 'thinking' about purchasing one would start a thread......I noticed the new U-Can-Do SF ARF isn't being talked about very much either......

I don't think you would have to move servo tray? plenty of room where battery hatch under windshield to add tank. beefing up with some tri stock would probably do it. and you won't need the flaps! lands like a cream puff with a big ole 32 and 5000mah 4s pack. I love flying mine! unfortunately I had a bad accident at work and will be out of commission a couple of months

This is a great flying plane, but very aerobatic. Not a real scale flying plane. Floats would be fun but might take from its performance a bit?

Well, I have one on the way... I think with the weight of the engine taking the wing loading up to 24 oz / sq in or so, the aerobatics will be toned down a bit but should be a unique fun flyer.

I think you will be very pleased! I love it once I got used to the takeoff, it tends to pull to the left with the electric setup and you have to compensate with rudder. But it lands like a cream puff! really nice covering, it should hold up to fuel residue? the nylon wing bolts I had to cut about a 1/4 to 1/2inch off them because they rubbed the servo rods for rud & elev other than that it's really a nice ARF!
Please keep me posted. I would love to know how your conversion turns out!

I'll convert my thread on the other site to a log. It won't be as detailed as most logs because my "me time" is after the kids go to sleep and stopping down every step of the way to get a clear picture really cuts into the couple of hours I have. I'll log milestones, though. I figure I'll be inspecting / planning / working on it for 15 or 20 nights.
