Default Redwing RC 30cc MXSR servos

I just purchased the listed plane and now need some servos. I'm not interested in flying 3D. What minimum torque servos would you buy? 200 oz for 6v seems like overkill for what the way I'll fly it.

Buy some XQ servos from Redwing. You can't find a better servo for $43 each XQ-4013. Or go Analog with the XQ-3015 for $25 each. Both options are 200 oz
What angle of throws do you plan to set up on your surfaces?

There is plenty of good feedback on the XQ- 4013, 16 and 20's. I have not heard much talk either way on the 30XX series.

70oz servos for all surfaces and 80oz or so for the rudder is MORE than sufficient on this plane.

I've flown mine with inexpensive digital 133oz servos since the plane came out last year ( or was it before? ) without any problems doing 3D and high speed.

Great flying plane btw.

I ended up getting the XQ servos through Redwing RC. I got most everything installed and then realized that I must have gotten some CA on the stabilizer carbon fiber tube. It pushed in hard but I stopped for some reason and did something else. I just had to cut into my brand new plane to get the wing tube out and now have to get some ply to patch up the plane. Oh well, just a small patch, maybe 2" x 2" at the most.

That stuff happens. Once you fly it a couple times you will forget all about that!
Post some pics...

I fly the 1501 Power HD's in mine and I rip with them. At 17 bucks a piece they are hard to beat......
