Default flying the sbach300 30cc

Anyone out there who has flown the Fly Model "sbach300" 73" span ? Waiting for delivery. Did not purchase to shoot holes in the sky. Model looks good, price o.k. Appreciate any experience with same. Thanks, Dick

I just received mine.....going with a DLE30.....wraparound muffler is a problem, might have to go with a canister muffler.

What servos are you going to use? So far I'm impressed with the quality - might have to replace the control horns as mine are way too small for the hole they drilled, but other than that - came with a CF wing tube!

I have been using HItec 845mg in everything I build, big or small so that I can use them when I sell off or "put-in" a model. I am convinced that most in the hobby "overbuild" I do not shoot holes in the sky. I am happy doing 6 landings and going home at noon time. Installing saito 180. Only large glow engines for me as I try to get out of the hobby, try try try..Have not received my pkg yet. Lola the bulldog is waiting at the window for the diesel sound (UPS truck.) Good luck with test flight Jerry, then write ?

I'm a bit closer to the distributor than you and received the plane 4 days after I ordered it so yours should be coming soon - yep, it's a big box. Haven't decided on servos yet....they recommend 180+ oz; so I'm contemplating XQ4020 (from Redwing) or HS-5585MH....but I don't do a whole lot of 3D, but everyone at my field likes to fly MY airplanes and make them into a 3D demo

I would recommend you go with the HiTech HS-5585MH servos. I had centering issues with the XQ4020's.
