Default Dave Patrick 330L : Engine choice

This one is for a friend. Currently he is flying his DP Extra (78" Wspan) with a 1.60FX.
What is the best GAS engine choice for this (yup for 3D flying)? Glow fuel is getting pretty expensive for extended practice.
Thanks.

Get a good 50cc gasser - DA, ZDZ, BME, Brison 3.2 are some very good engines that I can think of right now. The difference over the 1.60FX will be noticeable, and your buddy will never go back!

Nice pics. Did you have to carve the cowl or did the engine sit in perfectly?
Since we'r newbies to GAS, what's the biggest consideration in installation?
Thanks for your reply

The biggest consideration is keeping your radio gear separated from your ignition components by 12" or so. This is to reduce the possibility of the ignition producing enough interference to prevent radio "hits".

I put Zenoah G-45 in mine! Perfect fit! I have almost completed. I have one of the second generation kits I think, and it needs the weight up front to balance.
