I have a good running os 1.60 that I would like to use. Anyone have any suggestions on a plane for it? I like sport flying mostly.
All the ARF that are out now are like 1.20 size or 30cc.

I am running the same engine in a CAP 262. At least I think that it is a 262 as it has been so many years since I built it, I don't remember.

But getting back to your OS 1.60 and as you stated it is a good running engine with plenty of power. Personally, I would look at the Great Planes line of planes and you may very well be able to team that OS up with a great plane.

Personally again, I would not hesitate to put the engine in a 1.20 size model as I have always thought that you can never have enough power. You can always throttle back, but it is real difficult to throttle up, when you are already at peak power.

Take a good look at the " Great Planes Giant Super Sportster ". I know that they are a great flying model as many members in my clubs have them.

I had an OS 1.60 twin in a GP Super Stearman and it flew very well and sounded awesome. It was very similar in power to my friends PT-17 with an OS 1.20. One problem I had with that plane and engine combo was flooding, there was no way to change the height of the fuel tank or engine. I also had the 1.60 twin on a 1/4 scale GP Spacewalker, another great combo, no issues at all with this combination.

The 1.6 glow is equal in power to a 30cc gas. So any of the "30 cc gas" planes will work.

You may want to carry a couple of ounces more of fuel.

You will be around 17-18 lbs of thrust depending on prop and muffler.

If you are looking for an aerobatic plane, there are a few new planes coming out designed for 20cc gas engines. Any of these would be perfect for the 160. In fact, most any plane designed around the 20 gas or 120 - 180 glow engines would work well.

You may want to look at the new planes from Peak, AeroPlus, 3DHobby Shop and many other sources. Aeroworks has quite a few planes in that size range also.
