Default Going to coat my plane with Varathane spar urethane, quick question

So I am going to use this. Is there a technique when coating the airelons? I don't want to limit movement. Thank you!

Also what type of spray paint is best to paint on top of the coating? Will it go right on or should I send the area I plan to spray paint?

My questions is why would you use that? What type of covering is on the plane now?

I have read and seen a lot of people with foam planes use a water based polyurethane on them. During my research this type and brand seemed to work best. There are many threads on the subject on several different RC forums. It's protects the foam, makes it more durable, keeps the decals from peeling off, looks good, adds almost no weight and remains flexible. Nothing is covering the plane now, it's just foam.

I made a pair of blue Dow styrofoam floats for my SPAD Kadet trainer and sealed them with 2 coats the same stuff ...... worked fine.
