Default Arising Star - Wings

Hi
Has anyone had problems with the 'seating' of the wings onto the fuselage?
I have just completed gluing the wing halves together and when I trial fit them the front wing edge sits firmly on both sides of the fuselage but at the trailing edge only one side touches the body. There is a gap of 3 to 4mm on the other side. My first thought was that somehow the wing is twisted but the mating joint is straight and there are no signs of stress on the covering. I've checked the fuselage and both sides of the 'wing seating area' are parallel.
My question is; as the wings seem to be ok would it be ok just to glue some packing in the gap?

Cheers
Frank

How does the wing (when looking at it attached to the fuselage) look compared to the horizontal stabilizer? They should both be in line with each other, if not shim or remove some of the wing saddle until they (wing/stab) both line up or you will never be able to trim the plane properly.
