Default Broken cf stabalizer

I recently picked up a used funtana x50 really cheap. I ve been out of the hobby for some time now but this gave me the itch again. So on the rear horizontal stab there are 2 carbon rods that go from the h stab tips to the fuse. One of them is broken clean off at both ends. My question is , is it gonna be an easy fix to just drill it out or am I better off runnnin a wire on top of vertical stab to both ends of the horizontal? Hope that makes sense . I ve had planes with both, I’m sure going with the designed way would be better , however I’m not sure how difficult it will be to drill out the old cf rod. Any opinion will help. Thanks in advance , Nick
