Default 76" Cub engine mounting

I'm setting up a J-3 that has an OS 46 AX mounted inverted. As we all know sometimes this presents problems. Different rectangular DuBro 10 oz tank with new tubes and medium fuel line. I'm going with a 3 line system. Finally got the engine running well on the test stand (vertical of course.) Has anyone mounted a glow vertically in their Cubs? Yes, it's not scale but they really do run better. TIA Bill

I had a Cub with an inverted engine. It was long enough ago that the engine was a K&B .40. I really had very little trouble with the inverted engine. Just store it inverted so oil doesn't pool in the glow plug. Mounting the engine on it's side works very little different than upright and it helps keep the exhaust down low on the fuselage.

Good to know! I'd like to avoid the cowl surgery as well as repositioning the mounts (2 piece composite beams) I empty the tanks at the end of the day and run them dry so that should help. Thanks for sharing! Bill
