Ditto on the formula 560, appy it with a syringe for a nearly invisible bond line. The stuff looks and smells like white elmers glue but dries to a rubbery consistency that is almost crystal clear. Once applied you can wipe the excess off with a damp rag since the glue is water soluable.

I have used RC56 successfully for years on canopies but am now finding that it doesn't hold well on canopies in some ARF kits. Perhaps its the canopy material or the fuselage covering material. Have also found that these canopies can't be dyed with RIT dye. I still use RC56 but have been using small screws and/or trim tape to backup the glue.
Goop and Seal All have been suggested in this thread and I might try those on test surfaces. Thanks for sharing your discoveries.

I've used RC56 and had horrible results...just wouldn't stick, so I switched to silicone...which worked better but I couldn't make it look 'clean'. Recently on RCU there was a post about using a product called Fletch-Tite. This stuff is used for fletching arrows and can be found in archery stores for about three bucks. Simply fit the canopy to the fuselage and tape in place every 1" or so. Apply a tiny (the smaller the better) bead of the Fletch-Tite to the edge where the canopy is contacting the fuselage. Let dry for an hour or so. Remove the tape and apply the glue to the remaining areas. Let dry for an hour or so. You can optionally run another bead along the entire edge.
The canopy will be sealed around it's entire perimeter and won't come off without a large amount of force. The glue around the edge will be barely detectable...the Fletch-Tite shrinks as it dries. This stuff is great...for $3 you have to try it!

Do you reckon it's that "Genuine Iron on Film" they are always talkin about
You know the typical shelf paper crap. Ive used the rc56 stuff on only Monokote (i.e Moneykote
) and Ultracote, and always had great luck. I wonder what it would be like if you used it on covering like VMar's new "ECS-Enhanced Covering System" That stufff is terrible!

Note on the Seal All- you gas burners in particular-I have used it for years to seal leaks on automobile gas tanks! If you have a clean surface, it will stick even when gasoline is running out of the leak!
