I just finished building an Ultra Stick 60. I followed the instructions in the manual. I'm wondering if I should have fiberglassed the center section. I had a US 40 and did glass it, never had in problems with it.

I have the US 40, 60 and 120 and none of them have any glass. The US 60 has a YS 91 with a 20 oz. tank and I fly this thing for 30 minutes at a time. What a blast. The wings are holding up just fine. The axles on the landing gear on the other hand have each taken their turns fall off the plane during flight. The axles must have not been pressed on to the nuts very well. Oh well, this thing lands so slow, it has not been much of a problem.

How are the CA hinges holding up? I used them in the 40 and they worked good. I went ahead and used them in the 60 - I saturated them well and since the covering is transparent could see the hinge wick the CA really well.

The first thread said I glassed the 40 - that is an error - I didn't glass the 40 and I had no problems with the airplane. However I had a hardware problem of some sort and it spun in. I had flown it several times before I lost it.

The CA hinges are holding up fine so far. I have about 30 flights on it now, which means about 12 hours of flying.
