Default How to remove decal

I put the wrong size Stars & Bars pressure sensitive decal on monocoat. anyone got any suggestions on how to remove it without pulling/screwing up the monocoat. thanks.

Try your heat gun, and warm the decal a small amount. If you dont use heat, it will leave the glue behind. Pull the decal back over itself to help avoid pulling the monocote away. You may need to smooth and restick the Monocote afterwards. This works well on most selfstick decals on paint. I just removed a set of Major brand decals, that were too big on a painted plane.

Write Diablo Kid. I sold him a plane with decals and he removed them with no problem. I think he used heat but I am not sure.

Theres a product that can be purchased at either Walmart or Lowes, I can't remember its called simply Adhesive Remover by Duct Products, they have a web site. Once you lift one corner of the decal, you apply this remover w/ a paper towel or cloth to the underneath side as you lift up on the decal, and has a orange citrus scent. It comes off like magic
