External Fuel Filler Location and GP Venus
hey guys,
For those of you flying the GP Venus and using an external fuel filler, where did you mount the fuel filler? I read one post where the guy mounted it low and behind the firewall. Wouldn't that cause a problem since the outlet to the carb would be even lower then the tank and the carb. It would be like dropping down from the tank to the filler then back up to the carb? I was thinking of mounting to the cowl, but then everytime you take the cowl off you'd have to pull the fuel tubing off the fuel filler.

You might want to use three lines to the carb...two down and one up for vent. Hook up one of the pickup lines to the carb and the other to a fuel dot. Mount the dot on a 90 degree backet that is mounted to the firewall, then cut out an opening on the cowl to access the fuel dot. The cowl will slip over the fuel dot when it gets removed.
