Default WM .30 Ultimate Bipe!

Had the first flight yesterday.
Wow! is about all I can say about this little zipper!

I put a TT 54 FS up front with an APC 11X7 prop. I wish I had gotten the engine running right last year!

The first, and only flight so far, was rather uneventful. I was amazed at how fast this bipe will fly at only 1/2 throttle. At full throttle pylon racing would be a blast!

I thnk I'll be flying this one more often! And it is small enough to fit on the front seat of a car!

(I didn't have a chance to try out it's aerobatic capability as the first flight was a shake-down and trimming flight)

Anyone else flying this bipe?

Jeff

I test flew one of these tiny bipes some time ago. It was a virgin flight for somebody at my field, and I'll always volunteer for that he he. Yep, it sure is small, and it gets really tiny if you don't turn often he he. I recall it flew fine, no bad tendencies or habbits. You can never be long on your landing with this one, unless you land in a howling down wind. It's to small for me though, I like my Cermark Pitts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yes, it's a bit more money, but who's counting in this hobby?

I have been flying my Ultimate for about a month now. OS 52 FS for power. The OS is the only thing that has given me trouble; the airplane is great. This is my very first ARF and it probably won't be my last. The only thing I changed on the plane was to convert the wire landing gear to a stamped aluminum Great Planes unit and I left off the wheel pants ( I fly off of grass). The airplane rolls well, though not perfectly axial, loops great, Knife edges like no other aircraft I have ever flown. Hardly needs top rudder at all. I wish they had used different color schemes on the top and bottem; I had to add some large stripes on the bottem to help me keep orientation.
