These are spring air #704 retracts with lite-flyte products struts. They are excellent for this plane. I have had no nose over problems with this gear and they are rock solid. Will cost about $230.00 for gear and struts.

They will be excellent on a grass strip. I cut out about 1/8 inch on the front gear rail so the gear would move forward a bit. Was very easy to do. Took about 1/2 hour to install this gear.

I have this plane and modified the gear by replacing the existing wire with 3/16 dia. wire. They work well on asphalt. They still might be a little soft for grass. I have landed on grass a few times. All I had to do was to drill out the hole in the retract. I love the plane. It flys great. I am building a 150 size now. John

I posted this is another thread but I think it will be OK here also. I am building right now and have turfed the stock wire landing legs in favour of thicker wire ones frfom Spring Air Retracts and then installed the Robart offset #653 Oleo strut. Problem now is the wheel sits too high in the wheel well. Looking for a narrower tire.....any suggestions?

This is more of an engine issue but ill throw it to the forum.
Trying to finish up my H9 Mustang with a TT91 FS ,discovered that the crankshaft is to short to allow a prop and a CB Spinner.
Trying to use a Master Airscrew 14/6 K series and the CB Spinner. Any suggestions? I guess this is what I get for trying to save some money by going with the TT91.
