Alright, I'm building this P-47 and it's going together pretty darn well. I ran into a snag though, and wanted to consult those of you who have already built this plane. When installing the retract servo it says to center the servo in the middle of the wing. However the ribs are there and covered in epoxy (I'm finishing this for a friend who did the wing and nothign else). My question is this, since the servo cannot rest on the rails due to the ribs, is it alright to slice them out of the way? Will this compromise structural integrity at all????
Thanks!!

I just took a look at my P47 wing and I believe the retract servo fit in as it's supposed to, but you may have to sand down the rib under the servo, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch so it will rest on the rails.I know I had to Dremel around the pushrod openings in the wing so they wouldn't bind, so, yeah, sometimes you do have to make some modifications.

My Feedback: (3)
I came late. Pretty much as Auto pilot said. Another modification is the rod setup for the elevator. I replaced them with 4-40 rods and installed in similar manner as the original setup along with some soldering. Also put some heavy epoxy around the retract mounts for added strength. I 'm running a OS 1.08 in mine. have about 5 flights on it and its great.
