Default Maiden DPM Extra 330L

Maiden flight was great! Best plane yet. I have an OS 160FX in it. Upgraded all control rods to central hobbies carbon fiber/titanium. Used all coreless futaba’s metalgear-aileron/rudder, and nylon gears for the elevator halves. Had to ditch the pilot he was too fat. 1800 6V JR pack up in the engine box, and 24oz tank still required 12 oz lead to balance at 5.75”, but will probably come out as I get used to her and move the CG back. Plane flew rock solid, now I know why guys are flying the big ¼ scale and better scale acrobats. The plane flew great, if I crashed it after the first minute I would buy another. The only problem I have is fuel delivery related, and have installed a 2oz kicker tank. Engine was quitting 2/3 full on downlines. Even landing plane deadstick first four flights and I like this plane better than my pattern ship. I Highly recommend this plane. After it’s first trip to the club field I have a feeling there will be more in the next couple months. At least one, my test pilot, loved it, and he flies a big Lazer 30%+, a big edge 35%. Likes my DP Extra better than both. He’ll probably go gas. I was realatively impressed with the 1.60 in it, and feel it will have good, but not unlimited vertical. Should hover, will be testing this weekend. Nice plane boys. Yes I am still smiling from Sunday's flying.
