Default Hanger 9 Corsair

The new Hanger 9 Corsair markings for those that didn't know are from the F4u4 of Joe Tobul's
He crashed and die in that plane last year at an air show in NC. Here is a pic of me in frt of it 2 yrs ago at Frederick Maryland airshow!

I sure wish h9 would put flaps on this airplane. She's a beauty, and I would like to have one, without bashing the wing to put them in myself.( I guess I'm just getting lazy- so please excuse the whining.)

It would be easy for Hanger 9 to offer it with one of two wing designs. (With or without flaps.) I'm guessing they would not sell any no-flap corsairs though. They could offer a replacement wing with flaps as an after market item. It is a shame that they didn't have the factory incorporate flaps already. Not to bash hanger 9 but their market research needs work.

What will probably happend is the same thing that happened with the P-51. The first one came out without flaps, then the giant scale one came out with flaps. They will put out a larger one with more scale items (flaps, tail feathers that are airfoils). Just my $.02 worth

Seems premature to post anything about a ARF that hasn't been released yet!

All that I am saying is that it seems to follow suit, that if they may go this rout. As I said in my post "that is what will "PROBABLY" happen." Not saying that it will, just using a little deductive reasoning. Plus, as stated just my $.02 worth or one man's opinion.

P.S. This can also be called a little "Hey Hanger 9 Let's think about a bigger one". We all know that H9 reads a lot of these threads.

Why, the ads and photos are out? It is clear from those photos, that there are no flaps.

I'm sorry, but it's hard to tell if flaps can be added without seeing the real thing.
A bit of sarcasm here..no offense meant, but maybe I can fly the pictures and ads if I fold em right!! hahaha
I just feel that the release date was Sept.18th.....now......who knows when. They must have used the slowest boat they could find to ship the Corsair.
H9 shouldn't post a date until they get all their ducks in a row! IMHO

Hmm not sure that your correct on this statement! I have a Horizon Hobby catalog with it on the front page and they have it in the catalog with a price tag on it! Think then maybe Horizon Hobbies are premature on advertising it for sale?

I said a couple months ago that we would be lucky if we see it by the end of this year. I spoke to Carla yesterday at Quantum Models and she still has not received a shipment date from the manufacture. The first date was Oct 20th, then it was Nov 20th and now she has no idea. Maybe by Christmas.

I'd sure like to take a closer hands-on look at this gal.

It would be very nice if the made a large version with all the goodies like the Mustang. I'd be as interrested as the .60 size![sm=surprised.gif]

I have the Hanger 9 ARF corsair, and I want to customize it in honor of a friend who flew them for the Marines. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to remove "NAVY" decals, so I can put on Marines?Chick

Chick
They will peel off, just use a razor blade or something like that to lift up the edges, they come off rather easily.
