A friend of mine bought one. It is so crooked and misaligned that it cannot, I repeat, cannot be built. Kondor suggests that he may have gotten one of the "early" kits and that they will take the needed action to correct his. Kits that bad should not be marketed at any age.

We'll see.

Hi-
We have flown the KMP P-38 since early summer with excellent results as posted elsewehere in these forums. It is now on winter exhibit in the Norwegian Aero Club together with the KMP Gee Bee, which we have flown with equal success for the same period.
These models are sold under our own brand name over here.

I have read some of the input about the KMP P-38. I am wondering tho' where you located the CG. I understand that it was originally 128mm and the latest update I got was 96mm.
I crashed my P-38 today.......... usind the 96 mm CG instructions. It leapt of the ground with very little up elevator to rotate. Pushing full nose down, got the airplane level, but torque twisted the plane towards inverted. With full nose down elevator basically had no effect, because I was already at stall speed, due to the violent lift off. I had only about 10 feet of alt. Of course down elevator had no effect because I was already at stall speed. This all happened in about 4-5 secs. Question........... has anyone had any success flying this airplane........ if so... what was the CG you used?
