Default Help with Funtana assembly

I have a couple quastions about the Funtana. Where did you all run your throttle control arm? I am thinking of using a flexible wire to make bends around the tank. The second question is about the tank? I have an excel fueler and it is looking like I have to drill 2 holes in the firewall to put the lines through. Any ideas that will allow a cleaner setup than it looks like I am going to have to do? There has to be a better way. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dean

We just posted the Funtana review live in RCU magazine

http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=235

Check it out. Maybe it will answer some of your questions.

Thanks
Erick

If you are using the stock tank the lines go thru the hole that's already there. I have an Excel Fueler on mine with the stock tank.

I just ran my throttle under the tank, 2/56 rod slightly curved from the tray down under the tank and exits right next to the mount, directly in line with the carb on my .72

I turned the carb on my .72 over. The throttle arm clears the tank and the needle valve sticks out the top of the cowl. I'd post a pic but hate to pull the cowl. David

Actually the goober that wrote the manual should have made mention that if you use the .72 the carb will need to be flipped. You can see that on page 21, the first photo has the carb in the stock position, then the last photo has it flipped.
I promise it won't happen again, honest.

I didn't have to flip the carb on my .72, just ran a Sullivan cable under the tank. Seemed like a cleaner installation as the fuel tank is easier to remove.
