Given the huge muffler and no pitts style muffler apparently available, what planes make a good combo for this great engine. I am putting it in a Graupner Extra, but have to really butcher the cowl. Any ideas will be appreciated.

[&o] dont know if this is such a good eng or not tower cannot decide what the eng settings
are. this past weekend i tried all three (3) of my new 75s and all experienced the
same trouble would not start or sputtered.towers listing for this eng does say that
the instruction booklet is incorrect and have adjusted acordingly. one item may be the problem
what is your spray bar set to? tks mike

Nothing special or bad about the Tower .75. Just about any .60-size plane will do fine. I have two, one of which is mounted on a GP UCD3D .60. If you wait a bit, Tower will be carrying a Pitts muffler for the GMS .76, which has the same exhaust dimensions as the Tower .75.

I was wondering, why would anyone buy the tower, when the GMS .76 has 2.5hp and is 3 oz lighter? I know that the tower is marginally cheaper... but man, does anyone have that GMS? it must kick tower ass (as in donkey)
by the way, I have the tower and it is a powerhouse. Very happy with it so far... just wanted to see what the sentiment was between Tower stuff and GMS stuff

I have a Tower.75 with a Bisson Pitts in a GP Shoestring. Engine is mounted on side, and just fits under the cowl. Very nice combo. I fly with a fellow who has a number of GPS engines, and I would consider them a push with the Tower engines, assuming the stock mufflers are used. Take a look at the Shoe, a very nice flying ARF. Good Luck!
