Has anyone had any problem with the cabanes alignment??
I installed mine on the fuse. in the pre-drilled holes and when i pull the top together one is in front of the other by appox. 1/8 inch.
The problem I have is figuring out which one is wrong.
Please Help!!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Kyle,
Mount the top wing to the bottom wing leaving the cabanes out, when the wings are lined up and distance from the tail to the tips is equal(meaning the top wing is centered over the plane). mount the cabanes to the top wing and then redrill the fuse. holes. Some guys are putting blind nuts in the fuse for the cabanes when doing this.

I agree with Navy E6FE. When setting up ANY bipe, it's best to find a way to align all the wings prior to setting any hardware. This may require that you use sticks or whatever taped to the wingtips until you find the alignment.
My Pitts suffered a similar condition, but using paint mixing sticks I was able to get equal separation and alignment. Be sure to check the fore and aft wing tip alignment with the tail, not the firewall. Do this for both the top and bottom wings. Also check the distances between the leading and trailing edges of the top and bottom wings. If they are much different, you will have to make corrections to get a good flying plane.
Bipes require a lot more work to set up, but are worth it in the end.

I had the same problem. But mine was 1/2" off!!!!!!I hooked up the outer struts and then the cabanes to the wing, then check the wingtips to tail, then marked and redrilled the holes. Why do we need to fix this??? This is supposed to be built right the first time!! ARG!!!![:@]
Its coming together and is LOOOKING GOOOD!!! Just waiten for my DA50!!!

I had this problem too. I just hit it with the eye-ometer and fixed one hole.hope it flies right. Also had a mis alignment drilling the fiberglass holes. Blind nuts dont sound like a bad idea.

Hey Dansin,
The 50 will be nice in the Eagle. I'm putting a DA 50 in mine(started mtng.it tonight) Do a search on the Eagle there's alot of threads on this one..
As for this as your next step it depends on what your flying now.. I don't think this is one you want to step to next.I think you'll need time on a low wing type first. Get the basic aerobatics down with that first. People progress at different rates you may do fine but I still think a low wing first..
My 2cents...
