Hi there !
I bought that ARF plane 1 mouth ago. I 'll give you a review of that new model... from TOPMODEL.
My main goal is to share your experience and tips about ARF "assemblage" . I join a shot of the model exposed at the Dormund Fair (Germany). I 'll send more pictures following the evolution of the building.
-Project stared 19 may 2002-
Cap 232 3D
Wingspan : 2070 mm
Wing Area : 78 sq dm2
Wing Loading : 87.2 g/sq dm2
Weight : 6.8 kg (depending on engine type)
Lenght : 1930 mm
I choose a Moki 2.10 with Bisson muffler and MEJZLIK 20x10 for their weight and power.
Anyway, do you think that is good engine choice ???
I live in Belgium capital, Brussels, from where I wish you the best.
JYM.

I saw this model on their website and it looks very interesting. Given the cost of their smaller birds in the USA, it looks to be a little out of my league in terms of cost. How much did this model cost you in Europe? Do any of the US distributors have plans to bring it stateside?

Hi f2racer !
It cost me 600 € / 552 $ at the Dormund Fair.
I found the price for its size a bit expensive but the finishing is outstanding.
Wing Karman and the wheelpants are scale. All that painted in a nice metallic plum.
Beleive me, it is a quality kit... .
Just a precision, I am not married with JR Models.
ESPRIT Model & HOBBY LOBBY seems to be your International sales agent for USA. I can't answer you about exportation. Ask them.
I bought a Diablotin XL 2 years ago, +/- 425 $. You can use it as a reference, add exp. taxes... etc.
Do you know what are the exportation taxes for USA ?
It's certainly less expensive than our 21% exp. Tx.
Cheers,
JYM

Hi JYM
How does your Cap fly? My friend has his in the air for 5 times now, and is discontented with its flying ability: It tends to stop and stall at low speed, and when the motor cuts.
Are your Center og Gravity at the original location?
What is your overall weight?
It looks like his Cap 232 has +1 degree incidence at the main plane, and +2 degree incidense at tail plane, which will be adjustet to +1 and +1 degree.
Have you done any changes in the construction?
(He has'nt mounted the spoilers between fuselage and wing yet, but they shouldent matter, should they...)
Flying greetings, Lars R
