RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
Thanks John VH, it is the World Models Cap 232 ARF. I got it for $180 at my LHS since they were clearing out some items, it built up great, and is very well designed.

RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
Steve, according to the manual it shows 40mm up, and 40mm down for the elevator which I feel is too much, that works out to about 1 1/2 up, and 1 1/2 down which is way high. I will probably start out where my H9 Cap is set at which is 1 1/8 up and down, these Caps are really sensitive on the elevator I know since I have 4 of them. Thanks for the suggestion Steve, I will definetly watch it. I would hate to lose this one!!!

Luvbipes, I think it will be awesome with the 160 also, its slightly lighter than my H9 Cap, and the H9 flies great with the 160 so I cant wait to see it fly, just have to wait for some decent weather. I did have to redrill the firewall for the 160 mount, but other than that the engine fit inside the cowl perfectly.
I will post the results after flying it!!!

I have alot of flights on it now, and it flies great. The OS160 was definetly the ticket, I can take off, point the nose straight up, and it will climb out until I stop it. It hangs on the prop very well, and no bad snapping tendencies at all. Lands at a good pace, and killer looks, its a nice plane.

Thanks Daz for the info. Snapping is all I was worried about. I am planing to get one and put mvvs 1.6 gas on her. How are decals? On my WM Chipmunk after 150+ flights they are pretty bad looking.

This plane has some of the best decals I have seen, just make sure when putting them on that you use soapy water, especially on the big ones. Its kind of a pain in the arse with all the little decals cutting them out and putting them on one at at time, I just did it on a care free day, and took my time, matched them up on both sides, and used the box picture as a reference. All the decals are sticking very well. The only problem I have had with this plane is the wheel pants, they are still in pretty good shape but soon they will be coming off, since I see a few cracks in the bottom of them. Make sure to use the dual elevator option when installing the elevator servos, it is much better than the pull/pull option it offers also.

Mine decals from WM are very interesting. Haven't seen such decals before. They stick fine, but they have some kind of polyethylene covering (layer) that is coming loose very ugly.
As per pants it is always a good idea to glass them inside with additional layer. They will last more.

RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
WoW: What a good looking plane. I have the exact same model however have a Saito 180 in it and am making a new cowl for it. It was flown before by someone else and stated that the plane flew great with the 150.00 in it. I am thinking about removing the 180 and installing a Moki 2.10. If you have any thoughts on this I would appreciate your input. I am new to 3D . I could get another plane for the Moki 2.10 but would not know what to get that would do 3D and still be big enough. I have a Hanger nine p-51 1/5 scale but was told that the Moki 2.10 would rip the wings off. Any help from you or anyone would be deeply appreciated. The moki is already broke in. I am new to the large scale industry and don't have a clue as to what the Moki 2.10 would fit in for the right plane. Thanks.
Ron.

RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
Update: The plane has been flying great, excellent vertical with the OS160 18X8 APC, the only problem I've had are the wheel pants that acquired some minor cracks on the bottom. I've replaced them with some Kangke hard plastic pants, these are the best pants I have seen ever, these wont break even if you throw them at a wall.
Here are some new pics:

Thanks for the update. Have just completed my new fiberglass cowl. Man was that a fight. Did not have a mold so had to really work at getting the mold right. Will fly in 2 weeks.
I will remember that about the whell pants.

Kangke has some of the best wheel pants going and well worth the money.
This is a pretty nice Cap that world models is doing

RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
Hi guys
I have a Hangar 9 Cap 232 1.20 with a Manum 1.80 AR almost finished. What do you guys recommend for servos, dual battery packs, dual receivers. What are your opinions.
Hey also what size prop do you recommend and are there any flight characteristics that I should be concerned with.
thanks
John

RE: My new 1/4 Cap 232
It has been over a year ago that I posted a Q regarding my World models CAP 232, weight is 13.5 lbs (I beieve is 1/4 scale-73-1/4 WS) however I did finish the cowl. It turned out great but did not get the yellow matched. Oh well, another time for that. I have had a lot going on in my life however am ready to fly the plane. I have a saito 4 stroke 180 in it because I was told that the plane will not perform with the 150 4 stroke. Here is my question: What is the recommended fuel for it and the prop size? []I am new at 3D and the Saiti engines. I here and see so much controversy about fuels that I don't know what is best. however believe I am ready for the challenge. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks. Ron
