Is this good?

Does it have problems?

Can I learn 3D on it?

I have the MAGIC and it is a dandy trainer for 3d you will need to move the CG aft even further than the plans. Do it a little at a time and you will have a 3d machine!!!

It's a great plane to learn 3D on. What kind of engine do you plan to use? I have the Magic Extra 300L which is very close to the Simply Magic. I personally prefer the color scheme of the Extra over the Simply. I'm using an Irvine .53 on mine. Maybe a little overkill but I already have a 46FX and wanted to try out something different in an engine. A 46FX would be a good choice for this plane. An APC 11.5-4, 12-4, or 12.25-3.75 are all good props for the 46FX. An Irvine .53 on the other hand would be all that you'd ever need. Use an APC 12-6 or 13-4 on the Irvine. The 46FX is about $110 + shipping. The Irvine $130 shipped. Really not much difference in price and the Irvine is just as good quality wise.

Uh... what other engines are good? I have this 40 FX and I am having extreme doubts that it'll work.
