Tower KAOS ARF
#1
anybody have any commments ont the tower KAOS ARF? Just got one, and it looks good. Haven't got it put together yet, but am anxious to hear how this thing will fly, and if there are any problems I should be looking for. Everything in the box looks good (straight). I had a bridi KAOS about 25 years ago, was a great flyer.

It's a great flyer; hard to beat a Kaos for general sport/pattern work!
I had an OS 46fx on mine with an 11x6 prop. Great knife edge and lots of speed.

If it flies as well as my kit built one, you got a winner there. Like my kit built one so much, I haunted Ebay and purchased two different vintages of the Great Planes Super Kaos 40 and a Bridi Killer Kaos .60 sized tail dragger. Now I just need the time to build em...

I have had both the older and the new Kaos ARF's. I liked both real well until I was offered more money than they were worth. I have flown two different Easy Sports and there really is a lot of difference between the Easy Sport and Kaos. The Easy Sport is a milder plane and can fly slower and is not as quick but is still very smooth if set up right. The Kaos starts where the ES leaves off as it seems faster and quicker but still slows real well and lands slightly faster..
This is just my opinion from my own experience. The Kaos could be a second plane if set up with mild throws.

My Kaos was my second plane. It is going on it's third season in my hanger. I put the throws way down on it till I got use to it. Now adays I fly it full bore and it is one of my favorites. I have a .52 on mine. It lands like a dream with or without a head wind. To me you can't go wrong with one.

I love mine. I want to buy another as a spare when they go on sale. This plane is more predictable than my Eagle trainer.

I have a Tower Kaos 40, Super Kaos 60, Bridi Utter Kaos and a Bridi Big Chaos. The Tower Kaos 40 got me into this mess. Mine was built from a kit. Yes, it's a great second plane that will be fun to fly for years. They fly great, are tough and land well (always a plus). May you have lots of fun...
