Default Vector flight ordering question

I ordered one of there great ARF planes about a week and a half ago and it still has not shipped, It is not a concern because flying is out of the question for a few more monthes with this winter weather I have to live with but a friend who ordered one about a month before me got his only a few days before I ordered mine so his took some time to get his also, I was just wondering if this is normal or are they just having trouble keeping up with the orders lately, I have E-mailed them and they responded quickly and said they are a little behind and my order status should be changed from not shipped in a day or so but it went from "not shipped" to "Held" and just wanted to know if this is normal. Worth the wait none the less, Great quality from what I have read and seen in my friends kit.

Sounds about right. It seems they put these things on sale until they have quite a backlog then they raise the price on them again. I noticed the price is going back up on them so they must have a backlog of orders again. It took around 3 weeks to get mine when I ordered it. They were upfront about it with me and explained the backlog etc when I ordered it.

Keep in mind the fact that these airplanes are made in Canada. With the US dollar falling against other currencies, VF has been very good about holding prices fairly steady. Once you have a look at the airplane you will agree that they can't be making much profit at all from each plane, and to absorb the loss of profit caused my currency fluctuations must be a very tough thing for them to do.

Thank you for the replies guys, I am not at all worried about when it gets here but I just wondered if they where behind or if they had some issues with the shipping lately but I know it is worth the wait after seeing the forums about it and the Extra my friend has, Real nice looking. Just can't wait to get the warm weather, Any one know where I can order that from??? BRRRR the high went up to 25 F today.

If you send them an email asking for shipping info, they will give you the tracking number. I found they are very quick to respond.

Their email is [email protected]. I received my Edge 540 about two or three weeks from ordering it.

Your plane will arrive, when it does you will love it.
Those guys have, without question, the best service in the industry.
And as luck would have it, the best RC aircraft in the size range, all you have to do is surf around a little to see that.
I love my 300, when it falls from the sky I will replace it in kind.
Give them a call, or better yet, email and they will tell you where it's at.

Because they are a fairly small company, I reckon they supply from a pipeline of production as opposed to shipping from stock.

I have a 540 Edge 66 and an Extra 58 and they are both outstanding in quality.

As everybody else says here, they are an excellent company all round, and you will love both their products and their customer service.

I emailed them last week about the price increase. I asked them if I could still have the lower price and they said YES! I really didn't want to order it yet because of the weather but I figured what the heck! I decided to mail the payment in so that I could slow the delivery of it down an extra week. I figure 3 - 4 weeks what the hey it only 2 degrease F. this morning. I am super excited to put my Saito on the 66" Extra 300S!

Do you guys think that anything more than standard servos would be a waist? The Hitec HS475-HB that I have picked out make the flight pack $50 more than the standard pack. That's like half way into another flight pack for a different project I have been thinking of.
