Ready to mount engine. I am considering installing My G-62. I am very concerned about weight, I am at 6800' elevation. Traditionaly manufactured recommendations are normally under powered at this elevation. Any suggestions? Also I understand there has been a problem with firewalls coming loose. Heard somebody pinned there firewall, what does this mean? And how do you do this? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have a G62 on mine and here is how we pinned and beefed up my firewall.
We added extra hardwood around the motor box and the firewall, along with pinning it.
In the pictures you can see the little round dots, that is where we pinned everything.
So far I have around 100 flights on it and seems to be doing just fine.

The Pitts should balance with the G-62. You might have to move the battery pack all the way back. As long as you are not over 18lbs you should be OK. Just like RORO indicates, make sure and pin that firewall. I would also glue tri stock on all joints if not already done. That applies also to the inside of motor box.
