Does anyone know if there is a decent C-47 available, either as an ARF or kit? Would like to build the venerable old GooneyBird/Dakota for a CBI vet. Thanks

Top Flite and Kyosho both make a 1/14 scale kit (about 82" ws). I prefer the TF, but the Kyosho has a fiberglass fuse, which will save some building time.
Scale retracts for the TF kit are available from Robart (Tower sells them). My TF C-47 had these and O.S. wankels, which look very nice inside the cowls.
BTW, the kits sell as the DC-3 with options for military conversion.
If you're into giants, Ziroli makes a 1/8 scale DC-3/C-47 kit (about 143" ws).
