Any of you guys find that the supplied 20mm screw used to install the aileron control horn to be too short? The screw doesn't even go through the aileron. It seems to be 3mm shorter than what it needs to be. Just wondering. It's a pain in the arse b/c my local hobbyshop doesn't carry a M2X25. Guess I'll be calling Cermark.

YUP YUP TOO SHORT THEY ARE! I couldn't come up with the right screws so I trimmed the edges square on the horn mount and the nut plate and recessed them into the aileron; I don't like nylon lumps all over my control surfaces....JIM

Thanks Jim... Yeah, I was thinking about doing that too. I guess I was looking for the easy way out and getting some longer screws, but, i'm in the same boat. Having a hard time getting the correct length. Looks like I'll be recessing them.
Thanks,
Dan

One inch 2-56 screws will work just fine. That's what I used. The other thing that bugged me was the spinner adapter bolt they sent was way too long and didn't have enough thread to cut down. It was a pain finding a 4x45 mm bolt that worked. And I threw out all the cheesy hardware and used heavier duty control horns and 4-40 links with metal clevises. Oh, yeah, I also added the fuel tank hatch the instructions said was there as an improvement over the old model.
All that being said, it is a gorgeous airplane and I am looking forward to flying it.
