I have {had} both. If it was me i would buy the u-can-do 46. It flies like a dream...with a Saito 80 {easy to build} It will do all the usual 3D stuff with ease. I had a Funtana & never really liked it couldnt ever get it blanced just right....then on about flight 15 the Vertical fin blew off & that was that. If you decide to get the u-can-do send me an email & i will let ya know how i set mine up.

good luck!
Brian

I crashed it once due to aileron flutter {tore em both off} straight and level at half throttle. I would recommend taping the ailerons with clear tape & using 4-40 rod with ball links. I had solid threded rod with plastic clevis's {not good}I also had the clevis in the bottom hole on the control horn. Other than that & it is an awesome flying plane!!!! I have been in this hobby for 25 years & it is one of my top 5 planes ever. I have a Saito 80 on mine & it flies GREAT!! I also balance it a bit tail heavy. It flies like a trainer with minimum control throw or INSANE with 3D throws.

I've had both also with a YS-63 in the nose and I would have to lean towards the UCD. Much better low speed characteristics!

Funny... I've been looking for a 3D plane too and have narrowed it down to these two planes. I've watched a lot of videos of the two planes and I have to admit... The Funtana is WAY MORE RADICAL than the UCD. Yes, the UCD can do it all but the Funtana seems to be able to do it more crisply and MUCH FASTER. Anyways.... I don't have either plane and just basing it on what I've seen.

Mikel

My 2 cents

My dad has a UCD 60 and it flies great. It's really stable and can do all the tricks in the book. I've just finished a Funtana. I put an os 70 on it. I haven't had the chance to fly it yet, it seems like its been raining for a week here. Hopefully I'll get to fly it this weekend and I'll let you know how it comes out.
