I am considering a 80" Piper super cub and it should be ARF.
I know Great Planes and Hangar 9 makes one.
Which one is the better quality and are there any others ????
Thanks

I have the H 9 one and it's a good flyer. I'm getting the Dave Patrick one which is a piece of art. Check it out on his website. I've seen it in person and also seen it fly. It's absolutely impeccable. The only problem is it's pricey. They don't ship till next month. Good Luck!

I've uploaded a picture of Hanagr 9 Super Cub ARF and the Great Planes Piper Cub ARF. [&:]
We have the Super Cub....... what a beautiful aircraft!
Saito 150 four stroke for power. Looks like you can jump right in
and go flying!
I've had the Great PLanes Cub. A nice plane. I had a OS 70 four stroke mounted inverted. PLenty of power. But the main thing I didn't like was the way they had the struts mounted. They used a "cheesy" looking hinge between the mounting blocks and the plane. They have a tendency to tear. I think Great Planes could have done a better job on this than what they did. If I bought the Great Planes Cub, that is the first thing that I would change!
Best regards,
Mike

Hello MikelJay,
I have a GP Cub on the way. I'm going to use a Saito FA-72. Would you reccomend the inverted install of the Saito? If so, any tips/tricks to keep in mind?
Thanks,
Mile-Hi Flyer
PS - The H9 Super Cub looks great as well. Just flew a friend's full-scale Super Cub a couple of days ago. Flying, as it should be...

The key question is what Cub do you really want? The only ARF makers that I know of the have PA-18 Super Cubs are the following
[link=http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=HAN1650&pc=HAN1650]Hanger9 Super Cub[/link] $449
[link=http://www.davepatrickmodels.com/dpm/piper-pa18/piper-pa18.htm]Dave Patricks[/link] $599
[link=http://www.aircraftinternational.com/catalog/planes/3w33pa18/3w_pa18.htm]3W - 33% Piper PA-18 Super Cub[/link] $2095
If there are others out the someone else can comment. But these are the only ones that have a True Super Cub ARF. I have the H9 ARF and it is a great flying plane. I have a G-23 in the nose and it is plenty of power. It flys like a Cub.
Then of course there is the Balsa USA kit...but that is a big building project
. Hope this helps.
