Default ultra stick 40

do you guys think that the 40 size evolution engine off my trainer would be enough for the ultra stick 40. I know its not the best, but I igured since I had this engine I could possibly use it on this plane. let me know what you guys think.

My ultra stick is a 5 lb plane with the OS 46FX. With a 40 it would good but the plane is a little heavy for this engine. It depends how you fly. If you just do normal aerobatics, it will be ok. 3D stuff not too good.

You will notice a big performance over the trainer. This was my 2nd plane and was a piece of cake to fly. Floats right in for landings. Take offs much smoother than a top heavy cross wind hating trainer. It will be much faster than the trainer though. Much more responsive. Set throws low at first and it will fly better than your trainer.

So yes that engine will be fine on this plane for a 2nd plane.

Like Joe said....the US 40 is almost a high performance plane compared
to a trainer....no comparison. Sure, your 40 will fly it just fine. Read up on
these boards for all the hot tips on the US....it needs a few mods.

Dave.
