I am covering some floats (GP 60 size) with monokoe 'Aluminum' color. I am having trouble with wrinkles all over, and it sounds like UC is better. Is there any color available in UC that will match the aluminum? Because I am already half done covering the floats, except for the underside which is much more curved, and more of a challenge. Also, how do you cover the tips of floats?

Both Monkote and Ultracote have their own peculiarities. Despite what you've read neither is that superior to the other. Both need some practice to figure out. Monokote has more colors available. I didn't see anything available for aluminum in UC.
That said, pay attention to how Faye Stille covers wheel pants. The technique is very similar to what you are asking about.
