World Moddels Rambler 30

My Feedback: (314)
I just finished my World Models Rambler 30. It is a beautifully made kit, the best I've seen in an ARF. I powered it with a Saito .45. The plane has yet to be flown as the engine has not been run. I made a few changes to the plane. I had a lot of trouble with the metric screws used in the wing hold-down. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them to engage the threads with the wing in place. I finally took a hammer and with the screws in place gave them a few good whacks and replaced the blind nuts and screws with 10-32 nylon screws and 10-32 blind nuts. The screws went in the first time I tried with the wing in place. I also replaced the tank with a Sullivan. Too many threads about World Models tanks. I especially liked the inclusion of a pilot in the kit and two cowlings, one clear for correct cutting. A little striping tape and the model stands out. The spinner is a Sig which are cut for the larger APC props, in this case an 11-6. The radio is a Hitec Flash 5X. Now that we are finally getting some good flying weather, I hope to have it flying in the next two weeks.

Congratulations!!! I also had a Rambler that is not just half a Ramber... sad story... but it flew just wonderfully... it's just the easiest plane to fly. It made me look like such a good pilot! Anyway... that inspires me to bring my Ramber back to life!!!

This is a BAD hobby ... just yesterday I was trying to decide between a TT Cloud Dancer or the WM Rambler ... but I was thinking more along the lines of a .60 rather than the .45, was told bigger planes fly better. Still I am not in deep trouble after seeing your plane!!!
