Default Moded H9 P51 now Worry Bird

Here are some pics of my Hanger 9 P-51. I have made some changes that can be seen in the pics as well as some that can not be seen. The aft part of the fuse has been recoverd in Silver with red rudder. The tail wheel was moved to a more scale location and customer Graphics were added. The Graphics were provided by Die Hard Graphics in IL. I sent them pics and they sent me graphics that are perfect in everyway. The checkerboard on the cowl were laid 1 at a time but are from a graphic that was cut by Die Hard as well.

I am currently having trouble posting my pics but I remain hopeful in the next few hours I can get them up.

chris- looks real good- when you took the yellow stripes off the wing tips was there aluminum underneath them? or did you add aluminum there?

Default Great Job!

Great Job Chris!! The plane looks awesome. The real treat will come when you fly it. This is the nicest flying P-51 I have ever flown. Have fun and good luck! cbk

Great job and nice photo's. I am also looking for ideas on how to make mine a little different. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do some easy panel lines on this bird?

Default Yellow Tips

When I removed the yellow from the tips there was silver underneith it. I am thinking about getting another one in the future maybe over winter and doing it in the Tuskegee airmen scheme. I have a great model of one and used it greatly while making changes to the current one. Let me tell you that this thing was built great when you get the covering off of it.

What engine are you running? YS .91? How are you routing the exhaust? Did you just take the muffler off for the pic?
