Hi. I bought a Ford Flivver from Dymond for my Dad as a gift (it was the smaller of the two Flivvers, 52" wingspan I think). He set it up as directed but the plane was very twitching and hard to fly. After landing it he thought he would try it again to see if he could figure out what the problem was. Bad idea as he lost control and crashed it![
] The only thing that got really hurt was the wing (just one side I think). He contacted Dymond but they do not have individual wings for sale (they have not been very helpful, other than to suggest a different servo ratio that would make the plane fly better. Thanks a lot!). Anyway, my Dad wanted me to check around on the net to see if anyone had a wing for sale. I told him it was a long shot, but I promised him I would check it out. So here I am. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't have any advise on where to find a wing but I had the 72 inch version. I set the aileron throws as directed plus some more. I also had dual rates set in. The plane flies great and is very gentle. If you find another wing, I would suggest setting up dual rates (one with large throws and one one with low throws). If the plane is twitchy, go with lower throws. You might also check the cg. Mine was a little nose heavy (OS 90 four stroke in the 72 inch version).

I have the smaller one, mag 52 4 strk have not flown yet but dual rates and cg should be checked hard to believe they would not sell him a wing set (have him call again and ask for Helmit he owns dymond)

Sorry to hear of the unscheduled landing!
I have had the 54" version with a Magnum .52 four stroke on it for about 2 years. The first flight on mine was like holding a wildcat by the tail! The problem was that the stated CG was way to far aft. After I added a few ounces of lead in the nose, it flew quite nicely. Helmut at Dymond has been very helpful to me each time I had any problems with his products. I would try dieseldan's suggestion and call once more to see if he would sell you a wing.
