So you were told she would let you know when they were avaliable and got no response and had to email her again?
Then they don't pick up the phone all day?
Somebody's got my money they had better answer the phone.
I'd have been nice if I was her too...

I have not had to deal with DP in over 2 years, and I am very happy about it!!!
2 or 3 years ago, I had an early pre-order for his Extra. After he/Sandy told me that the shipment was due 2 weeks later, I sold my plane (I could only afford one plane at a time). The 2 weeks became about 6 months during which, IF I could get someone on the phone, the shipment was always due in "2 or 3 weeks". The plane was supposed to be "SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD" that I patiently waited, only flying a little coroplast toy for about 6 months. I had everything for it : New RX, New servos, New Saito 1.80, etc..
Finally, it came, and it looked great! BUT, once built, it was way tail heavy; I did the pull/pull mod DP suggested as a "cure", but I still needed so much weight in the nose, that the NEW 1.80 was not going to hover or torque-roll the plane, and the wing loading (one of the claims to fame by DP) was too high for good 3D (#lbs over advertised weight). In the subsequent weeks, I was never able to get an answer on DPM's phone, and sold the plane cheap, disgusted. It seems that Dave Patrick has not improved, from what I read; I WILL GLADLY CONTINUE TO STAY AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS PRODUCTS.
Especially when there are such great people to deal with as Mike McConville, Gene Payson (TBM), Tony Russo of DaltonAviation, Denis and Caroline at Carden: these are a few of the people I have dealt with since, whose service, courtesy and prompness show that they appreciate the trust and the money that you give them.
If you click on my gallery below, you'll see some of the stuff I got from them.
Wish you all some Great flying !!!

Its almost hard to believe the above stories. In my experience Dave Patrick Models provided not only the best customer service in the RC model industry but probably the best customer service I have had from any company period. I will gladly buy from them again. I have the Edge 540 with a ZDZ 50 and it is awesome!

I ordered some parts for my 300 and my ultimate sent them back since I sold the planes. Finally recieved refund other day after 6 months of waiting. I f you order a plane from them you will probably get it but do not expect any further service.I wont mention any names but the business manager should be fired. They also had the gall to charge a 15.00 restocking fee.Ispent more than that just in phone calls to get my money back!

I have an Edge from DPM. The first time I ordered on-line , needed a new canopy( I dropped mine!!! ouch) I had a good experience. It came right away. The second time I ordered a tail wheel and it was shipped to my former address which was probably on record, however I had changed my address on the order form on-line. I received that stuff about three weeks later. I did get some free glue out of the deal though (2oz. thick stuff)I have a new pitts that I wanted to get a tail wheel for, so I ordered on-line once again. now it has been nearly three weeks, the plane in nearing completion and no tail wheel. I have called several times only to get a busy signal or a recording, So last week I sent off a Fax, you guessed it no response. This week I have tried again several times to get through on the phone (on my dime mind you) with no result. So, I sent off another Fax. What's a guy to do? I like some of DPM's stuff but I am really getting discouraged.
I do have a suggestion though, maybe the folks at DPM could stream a banner on their website stating that they are not going to be around from this date to that date. I don't know just throw us a bone or something.
I am gong to go look at my new plane and it's lack of a tail wheel.......
Well,
I recived my order today. DPM gave me a steering arm 1.99~ and shipped my stuff for free. I am happy. I will just plan ahead when I need stuff from now on. At least they are better than a gear company that took twelve weeks to send my stuff. After the first 8 weeks of hearing two more weeks I about gave up on that one!!! Guess I should plan my builds acordingly!!! Just my 2 cents, there are no sour grapes here!!

My experience with DP started out very good, well enough to get me to place an order the next day for the 1/4 scale cub. I spoke w/Dave personally on the phone and he was great to deal with. The kit arrived, less my instrument panel (back ordered) and a broken landing gear part. I called and spoke w/ Sandy at DP. It took a few minutes to convince her to send me a replacement part w/o first getting the broken one back, but she did agree. After a couple of weeks passed and no part, I called her again and inquired about the broken part and the back ordered instrument panel. She said the instrument panel was in and back orders would be filled but they were really busy getting ready for a show. What about your existing customers coming first? I guess they wanted to service future customers before taking care of paying customers. Anyway this conversation was right after Christmas and still no replacement part or instrument panel. So much for service after the sale. Hate to have to make a post about this, but enough is enough, I should not have to call ever day to get what I paid for. Dave gets a 10, Sandy a 1, average is a 5 if I'm in a generous mood.
